Romano reveals Tuchel stopped talking to the Red Devils

Manchester United are closing in on a deal to appoint a new manager at Old Trafford this week. But Thomas Tuchel is expected to take a break from the job despite talks with Sir Jim Ratcliffe in Monaco.

While no final decision has been made on the future of current manager Erik ten Hag. Officials have already held talks with a potential replacement UFABET 

Former Chelsea boss Tuchel met with co-owner Ratcliffe in Monaco on Tuesday. Where he outlined his plans should he be approached to replace Ten Hag, who is awaiting word on his fate. Although the 50-year-old German is expected to take a break from football.

Fabrizio Romano wrote in X: “Thomas Tuchel has no plans to take the Manchester United job. He wants to take a break without coaching any club this summer.”

“Tuchel has now decided not to hold further talks with United after meeting them in recent weeks.”

The Red Devils are reviewing Ten Hag’s position at the club after a dismal season. That saw them lift the FA Cup with victory over Man City.

While Ten Hag has been dealt a blow for his injury problems throughout the season. They have continued to fall short of the standards expected of them.

Finishing eighth in the Premier League was their lowest finish in 34 years and ending with a negative goal difference, something no one expected to happen.

Their European campaign was a complete disaster and they eventually won the FA Cup, sparking debate over whether he should have been sacked.
